Actress Paula Patton has broken her silence on her husband Robin Thicke's performance with Miley Cyrus at the MTV Video Music Awards last month (Aug13), insisting she was not offended by the raunchy routine.
Cyrus and Thicke sparked controversy after the former Hannah Montana star showcased her saucy dance moves, which included 'twerking' close to the Blurred Lines star, during their performance.
However, the Baggage Claim actress insists she was not surprised by the duet and is struggling to understand why it has been heavily criticised.
In an interview on U.S. show Watch What Happens Live, Patton says, "Honestly, they rehearsed for three days beforehand, and I don't know how not to dance with someone having their booty in your (face)... all my friends do it like that... And, I don't really know what the big deal is... I didn't know if they thought Miley was going to sit down and play piano like Alicia Keys."
