Paul Walker (born September 12, 1973; died November 30, 2013) was an American actor famous for his role in the 'Fast and Furious' car film franchise.
Childhood: Paul Walker was born in Glendale, California. His parents were fashion model Cheryl and former fighter Paul William Walker III. He attended high school in the San Fernando Valley and later Sun Valley's Village Christian School. He studied marine biology in a handful of community colleges in Southern California.
Acting career: Paul Walker began his acting career in a Pampers diapers commercial. Among his early TV roles were 'Highway to Heaven', 'Who's the Boss?', 'The Young and the Restless' and 'Touched by an Angel'. His first film role was as Professor Bennett in 1986's 'Monster in the Closet'. In 1998, he appeared in his first feature film, 'Meet the Deedles', in which he starred alongside Steve Van Wormer.
After this main role, he landed supporting parts in 'Pleasantville' with Tobey Maguire, 'Varsity Blues' alongside James Van Der Beek, 'She's All That' opposite Freddie Prinze, Jr. and 'The Skulls' also starring Joshua Jackson over the following few years. 2001 saw him reach worldwide attention with appearance in 'The Fast and the Furious' with Vin Diesel. He subsequently appeared in the following sequels '2 Fast 2 Furious', 'Fast & Furious', 'Fast Five' and 'Fast & Furious 6'. Also in 2001, he appeared in 'Joy Ride' with Steve Zahn which was soon followed by 2003 sci-fi film, 2005's 'Into the Blue' and Clint Eastwood's 'Flags of Our Fathers' adaptation in 2006. In 2006, he starred in 'Eight Below' which became a tremendous box office success.
The last film Paul saw the release of before his death was Wayne Kramer's 'Hustlers'. Later, 'Hours' - a film based on Hurricane Katrina - was released in 2013, and 'District 13' remake 'Brick Mansions' came out in 2014. As Paul died during the filming of 'Fast & Furious 7', his brothers were enlisted as body doubles for the rest of production which will also feature CGI.
Personal life: Paul Walker has a daughter named Meadow with his former girlfriend Rebecca Soteros. He had been in a relationship with Jasmine Gosnell at the time of his death. She was said to be 'broken up' about his passing. He had a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and was awarded an honourary black belt by his trainer after his death.
Walker had a passion for marine biology and was on the Board of Directors of The Billfish Foundation. In 2010, he visited Constitución, Chile to aid those injured in the earthquake. He joined Reach Out Worldwide to attend to the Haiti earthquake victims. Another passion of Paul's was cars and he competed in the Redline Time Attack racing series.
In 2013, he died after a serious car accident involving his friend Roger Rodas's 2005 Porsche Carrera GT. The car collided into a pole and Walker, who was the passenger in the vehicle, died from traumatic and thermal injuries after the car burst into flames. Rodas also died from his injuries.
Actress Michelle Rodriguez is adamant Scott Eastwood has not been hired to "fill" Paul Walker's shoes in the new Fast & Furious movie.
Paul died in a tragic car crash in November, 2013, while filming the last instalment of the street-car racing franchise, Furious 7. His brothers Cody and Caleb were brought onboard as his stand-ins to help complete the shoot.
Clint Eastwood's actor son was announced as the latest cast member for the highly-anticipated Fast 8 on Monday (11Apr16), and he promptly took to Instagram.com to honour his late pal, who was like "an older brother" to him.
In the touching post, Scott vowed to make Paul proud with his role, and admitted, "For me to be able to add to the F&F story, Paul's story, and the FAST family is like a dream come true."

Scott Eastwood has vowed to make his late friend Paul Walker proud after joining the cast of the next Fast & Furious sequel.
Clint Eastwood's actor son will play a trainee working under Kurt Russell's character Mr. Nobody in the highly-anticipated Fast 8, alongside another franchise newcomer, Charlize Theron, who has been tapped as the main villain.
Shortly after his involvement was announced on Monday (11Apr16), Scott took to Instagram.com to express his gratitude to director F. Gary Gray and producer Neal Moritz, revealing the role is a dream come true.
"It's hard to put into words how excited I am for the next Fast & Furious," he wrote in a lengthy post. "To me, the series is so much more than just a franchise. It's a legacy. These great actors who have been in it together for so long have become a family. I absolutely can't wait to join it."

Rodriguez had said she felt "jealous" of her co-star Paul Walker for dying first, during an interview for documentary The Reality of Truth.
Michelle Rodriguez has apologised for controversial comments she made over the death of her Fast and Furious co-star Paul Walker, saying they were taken ‘out of context’. Earlier this week a video of Michelle Rodriguez from documentary The Reality of Truth appeared online, showing the actress saying she felt "jealous" that Walker had died first.
Michelle Rodriguez has said the comments she made about Paul Walker’s death were taken out of context.
Speaking to TMZ, Rodriguez said: "That's the people from the documentary using things out of context. I had a deep moment and I said something that, you know, was personal. It was exploited and I apologise about that, but if I knew it was being promoted that way I wouldn't have been involved.”
A settlement agreement was reached in November 2014 to place $10.1 million in trust for Walker's teenage daughter, in admission of Roger Rodas' "partial" responsibility for the car accident.
Paul Walker’s teenage daughter Meadow has received a settlement of $10.1 million from the estate of the man who was driving the Porsche in which her father died in November 2013, a court filing has confirmed.
The estate of Roger Rodas, who also died in the fatal crash in California, agreed to pay the sum back in November 2014 in acknowledgment of his driving being “partly to blame” for the accident. However, the paperwork went undetected for over a year because it was filed under an abbreviated name, ‘Meadow W’, according to TMZ.
Paul Walker's daughter Meadow has been awarded $10 million (£7.1 million) from the estate of Roger Rodas, who was driving during the fatal car accident.
The Fast and Furious star and his pal Roger were killed in 2013 when the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT Roger was driving crashed into a pole and trees and burst into flames. Paul was only 40.
His 17-year-old daughter Meadow has now been awarded $10.1 million (£7.2 million) in a settlement with Roger's estate, which has taken "partial responsibility" for the crash. She will receive around $7.2 million (£5.1 million) after expenses and lawyers fees.
"The amount paid by the estate of Roger Rodas into a trust for Meadow Walker only covers a fraction of what her father would have earned as an international movie star had his life not tragically been cut short," Meadow's lawyer, Jeffrey Milam explained in a statement to City News Service.
Actress Michelle Rodriguez is upset her controversial thoughts over Paul Walker's death were used to promote a new documentary.
The 37-year-old star provided intimate insight about her The Fast and The Furious co-star's death at the age of 40 in November, 2013 while speaking with producers of fresh factual film The Reality of Truth - released in February (16).
Discussing the experience she had while under the influence of psychedelic plant Ayahuasca, Rodriguez confessed on camera to being "jealous" Walker died before she did and when the film footage of her comments went viral this week (ends08Apr16), her admission sparked outrage in some fans.
But while speaking to a Splash News photographer in Beverly Hills on Thursday (07Apr16), Rodriguez claims her statement was blown out of proportion.

Paul Walker's daughter is determined to continue fighting Porsche bosses over his death, even though a similar lawsuit was dismissed on Monday (04Apr16).
The Fast and the Furious actor was killed in 2013 when the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT his friend Roger Rodas was driving them in crashed into a pole and burst into flames.
Rodas' wife Kristine filed a wrongful death lawsuit in 2014 against Porche executives, claiming the vehicle was faulty, and Meadow filed similar legal action in September (15) insisting the car lacked safety features which could have prevented her father's death.
Kristine's lawsuit was dismissed on Monday when a judge ruled the car manufacturers were not at fault, but Meadow's lawyer is confident their case can be successful and they are determined to keep fighting.
Meadow Walker's lawsuit is still ongoing.
The widow of the driver of the Porsche Carrera GT in which Paul Walker died back in 2013 has been dealt a blow by a Californian judge who ruled that Porsche Cars will not be held liable for the incident in spite of her lawsuit claims.
Paul Walker died in 2013
On Monday (April 4th 2016), a federal judge decided that the car company was not responsible for the death of Roger Rodas and 'Fast & Furious' actor Paul Walker, after Kristine Rodas 'provided no competent evidence' suggesting that the tragedy was caused by the lack a safety cage and fuel cell, and a failed suspension.

A judge has dismissed a wrongful death lawsuit against bosses at Porsche filed by the widow of Roger Rodas, who died with Paul Walker in a fiery crash in 2013.
Rodas was behind the wheel of the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT when it slammed into a light pole and burst into flames, instantly killing him and The Fast and the Furious star, his business partner.
In 2014, Rodas' wife, Kristine, filed documents in L.A. County Superior court claiming the vehicle had a faulty part in the suspension which caused the car to veer out of control.
In the lawsuit, Kristine also alleged that four specific defects, including the fact the passenger compartment could not withstand impact, were to blame for Walker and Rodas' deaths. However, a judge ruled the company executives were not at fault and the design defect claims were speculation, according to TMZ.com.

Rodriguez revealed a trip-out on the psychedelic drink Ayahuasca made her realise the extent of her grief over her 'Fast and Furious' co-star's death.
The 37 year old, who stars as Letty Ortiz in the action movie franchise, worked with Walker on the movies until his death in a car crash in November 2013. The Porsche Carrera GT in which he was a passenger veered off the road in California and burst into flames – the driver, his friend Roger Rodas, was also killed.
