The veteran went to support Arabella Carter, four, who was born without outer ears, as she recovered from surgery at a medical centre in Los Angeles on 6 March (15).

Stanley had his right ear reconstructed after suffering microtia.

The little girl's surgery was funded through Mending Kids, a charity backed by Stanley, and after the visit, charity bosses shared pictures of Stanley at the hospital.

A statement about the meeting between the rock star and Carter reads: "A very special thanks to Paul Stanley for taking time from his insanely busy schedule of touring with Kiss to support children that are faced with the same challenge he had with Microtia...

"Arabella is recovering very well from her Microtia surgery... at the Specialty Surgical Center."
