The Pee-wee Herman Show star played Tucker Cobblepot in the 1992 film with Danny DeVito as supervillain The Penguin and Michael Keaton as the Caped Crusader.
More than two decades later, Reubens is reprising the role for the small screen in Batman prequel Gotham, according to actor Robin Lord Taylor, who plays The Penguin in the TV drama.
"We don't know a lot about his father," Taylor told the crowd during the Gotham panel at New York Comic Con on Sunday (11Oct15). "We just found out that I do have a father. And he will be showing up very soon, and he will be played by none other than Paul Reubens, a.k.a. Pee-Wee Herman is playing my dad! What the hell? Oh my God!"
