Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts is set to have his inspiring story made into a film, with comedian/actor James Corden set to take on the starring role.

James, 33, has signed on to star as the opera singer in a biopic about his life, which will be called One Chance, after his first solo album of the same name. Corden has recently achieved accolades for his acting talent on the stage, taking home the award for Best Actor in a Play at the Tony Awards this Sunday for his role in One Man, Two Guvnors.

Corden is not the only star set to appear in the film either, as singer Katy Perry has been linked to play the role of Pott's wife in the film. According to NY Post Harvey Weinstein, who will produce the film, has said that either Perry or Adele would be the "ideal" choices for the role of Pott's wife Julie-Ann.

The 41-year-old soprano came from humble origins as a sales assistant at a phone store before eventually winning the talent show and sell millions of albums worldwide. He has since performed in front of audiences exceeding 1000 across the globe and gained many plaudits for his impressive vocal range.
