A little-known music producer is suing Paul Anka over allegations he is owed a fortune for his work on the singer's Michael Jackson duet This Is It.

Michael Jonzun is taking legal action against Anka and Jackson's estate over claims he is owed at least $24 million (£15 million) for turning the duo's 1983 song I Never Heard into 2009's This Is It.

Jonzun maintains he owns one-third of the track and is suing for his share of the proceeds, according to papers filed in Massachusetts federal court.

However, Lonely Boy hitmaker Anka has dismissed the lawsuit, telling Tmz.com he has never even heard of Jonzun before.

The late King of Pop teamed up with Anka in the 1980s to compose I Never Heard, which was released as This Is It after Jackson's death.
