Patrick Dempsey has reportedly turned his Malibu estate in to a mini-farm that doubles as an ''apocalypse safe house''.
Patrick Dempsey has over 60 chickens at his home in Los Angeles.
The 'Grey's Anatomy' star and his wife Jillian have reportedly turned their ''jaw-dropping'' home in Malibu into a bunker with livestock, a rain shower and sustainable garden.
A source told National Enquirer magazine: ''Patrick's estate is jaw dropping. He's got a functioning mini-farm with a huge vegetable garden, over 60 chickens, a fish pond and a pet donkey he's become very attached to. Patrick and Jill have earmarked their place as 'the apocalypse safe house'.''
Patrick, 47, also owns a chain of coffee shops, Seattle based Tully's Coffee, and he has previously said he's considered adding a certain controversial ingredient to the menu, albeit in an ''elegant'' way.
He said: ''Coffee is good for your mind - it's basically a legalised drug. The next step is selling marijuana, of course.
''There's a business model there. You could present it in a beautiful, elegant way: a Michelin-starred coffee shop where you can get marijuana.''
