British actress Parminder Nagra often becomes "frustrated" her career hasn't reached the same heights of success as her Bend It Like Beckham co-star Keira Knightley.

The soccer movie's lead actress refuses to be bitter about Knightley's phenomenal rise to Hollywood superstardom - thanks to films like PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL and KING ARTHUR - and credits powerful industry bosses with launching her big screen career, not necessarily her acting talent.

Parminder, 28 - who currently stars in American medical TV drama ER - says, "Yes her career has been amazing, but I don't feel a pang when I look at it.

"This is a very competitive business, but one of the things I learned very early on is not to take things personally.

"You can get frustrated, sure, but getting breaks is nothing to do with Keira.

"That's to do with a lot of people, producers and directors, and whether they are able to take risks."
