As Paris Hilton turns 33 we take a look at some of her best quotes from over the years.
Yesterday, Hilton hotel heiress, Paris Hilton, turned 33 years of age with a lavish birthday party. Although Paris was born into an internationally famous and wealthy family, she took it upon herself to expose herself to the public in her own unique style.
Paris had a slight wardrobe malfunction at her 33rd birthday bash
After starring in Fox’s The Simple Life back in 2003 to 2005 alongside on/off BFF Nicole Richie, Paris launched her debut album, modestly titled Paris. Much to nearly everybody in the world’s surprise, the album was actually quite successful with the first single reaching the top five in four different countries, including the UK and Canada, as well as topping the Hungarian charts. Paris has since starred in her own reality TV series Paris Hilton’s My New BFF as well as the British spin-off Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend.
In 2012 Paris made her debut as a dance music DJ, much to the dismay of DJs Deadmau5 and Samantha Ronson, whose reviews of Hilton’s budding DJing career were pretty scathing. Undeterred, Paris has continued to tour the world and ‘DJ’ for the past two years.
As Paris turns 33, 12 years after she initially hit the spotlight, we look back at our favourite insights that the heiress has reportedly made over her long and varied career, courtesy of Goodreads.
“A life without orgasms is like a world without flowers”.
“Who? Oh yeah...he’s like your president? I don’t know what he looks like”. Hilton's response to being asked about poor old Tony Blair.
“I don’t really think, I just walk”.
“By channeling my inner heiress, I created a new opportunity for young heiresses”.
"...all you have to do in life is hang out with your friends, party hard and look twice as good as the chick standing next to you".
Paris Hilton At Her Birthday Party This Week
Now that she’s turned 33 she has surely matured in many ways, though the dress she wore to her lavish birthday party in Los Angeles was straight from the classic Paris Hilton fashion handbook.
As a parting thought, we’ll leave you with Paris’ humble opinion of herself and the potential for posterity which she believes her personality and celebrity possesses: “There’s nobody in the world like me. I think every decade has an iconic blonde - like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana - and right now, I’m that icon”.
What did you think of Paris Hilton's dress for her birthday party in Los Angeles this week? Should we just accept Paris for who she is, or is it time to grow up?
