David Hasselhoff is allegedly seeking to cut the support payments he makes to ex-wife Pamela Bach.
The 63-year-old star has reportedly filed legal documents seeking to end the $21,000 (£14,800) a month payments he has made to Pamela, 52, since their 2006 divorce.
According to editors at TMZ.com, the documents show the star claims the huge spousal support payments have led to him raiding his retirement savings as his income is insufficient to cover his expenses and support his ex-wife.
The gossip site also report that he argues his ex-wife could take on acting work in an effort to become self-supporting.

Actor David Hasselhoff Is Considering Becoming A Father Again In His Sixties.
The Baywatch star, 62, has revealed his Welsh girlfriend Hayley Roberts, 33, would like to have children and they are now debating whether to start a family together.
He tells Britain's Notebook magazine, "She does (want kids), yes, so we're sorting that out. Or not. I'm still growing up. I'm on my second childhood now and I'm kind of enjoying it."
Hasselhoff already has two grown-up daughters 25-year-old Taylor and Hayley, 23, with his ex-wife Pamela Bach.

The 'Baywatch' actor - who is dating blonde beauty Hayley Roberts - insists he doesn't worry about appearances, though his favourite physical features are the eyes because of what they tell him about a person.
He said: ''I dated a hot brunette for a long time and then I think I at one point actually fell for one, but I don't know if I've ever met a true blonde. I'm more into personality and eyes. I think you can read a lot about a person by their eyes and so I'm more of an eye guy.''

Bach was sentenced to probation for the March (09) accident after pleading no contest to the allegation.

The actress, 46, was taken into custody by California police after allegedly causing a rear end collision at around 9pm local time in the San Fernando Valley area.
All involved in the collision complained of minor injuries, leading Bach to be booked for a felony, reports TMZ.com.
She was released from Van Nuys jail at midnight after posting $100,000 (£72,990) bail and is due in court on 6 April (09).
