Not those puppies, although that might not have been much of a surprise given her lewd performances in the past, no instead Pamela Anderson has adopted one of the many street dogs of India as her own and recently had photos of the young pup put online. Ms Anderson, who is an honorary director of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (or PETA), is well known for he love of animals and has contributed most of her recent time to the preservation of animal rights and done much to help defend and rescue many creatures since becoming aware of their plight in the nineties.
The former Baywatch star has since pledged her support to the many stray dogs who wander India's growing metropolises, by adopting a homeless puppy who was rescued from a construction site in Mumbai. Ms Anderson has called her puppy Pyari, or 'Loved One.'
The star told The Mirror newspaper that she is "thrilled to be able to give Pyari a loving home." She also stated that she has already rescued stray and stricken dog in the past and has urged other to do likewise, pleading that people go to adopt dogs from a local animal shelter rather than buying 'pedigree' dogs.
