Actress Pamela Anderson has been left feeling sore after running the New York City Marathon on Sunday (03Nov13).
The former Baywatch beauty took part in the 26.2-mile (42.16-kilometre) race through the streets of the Big Apple in a bid to raise money for charity.
Anderson admitted she left her training a little late as she had still not hit the pavement in September (13), and instead she opted to use gym machines at her home to build up her stamina.
But it seems the star is now suffering the consequences of her lack of preparation - following the race, she posted a photograph on Twitter.com of herself lying in bed covering her face with a towel, with an ice pack on her right knee and another near her lower abs. Alongside the snap, the star simply writes, "Ouch!"
The actress managed to complete the race in five hours and 41 minutes and raised more than $75,000 (£50,000) for the J/P Haitian Relief Organisation's The Long Run for Haiti campaign, which was set up in the wake of the devastating 2010 earthquake in the country.
