British pop star Paloma Faith had a 27th birthday to remember on Saturday (21Jul12) after carrying the Olympic torch through her hometown.
The singer donned towering red high heels to strut with the flame through her native Hackney in London, where she was born and raised.
Rapper Dizzee Rascal also jogged with the beacon during the relay on Saturday, ahead of the opening ceremony of the Games in the U.K. capital on 27 July (12).
Rockers Muse, actor James MCAvoy, Black Eyed Peas rapper will.i.am and singers Melanie Chisholm and John Legend have also served as official torchbearers for the 2012 Olympics.
