Hip-hop star T-Pain has spoken of his regret over the death of slain rapper DOLLA, because the pair wasted time arguing before becoming "the best of friends".
Dolla, real name Roderick Anthony Burton II, was shot in the head outside the Beverly Center mall in Los Angeles earlier this month (18May09). He died later that day in hospital.
The rapper was a rising star on Akon's Konvict Muzik label, alongside T-Pain, who admits the pair started off on the wrong foot when they first met.
But they soon became great pals, and the Can't Believe It hitmaker is devastated over Dolla's death.
He tells MTV.com, "Man. It happens every day. It don't take nothing but time before it happens to someone you know. We had problems when I first got signed.
"(But) then we worked it out, and after that we was the best of friends... It kind of sucks. And we just got our friendship straightened out, then all of this had to happen."
