Wardens/Rotary Queen

More indie pop-rock from the north. How much more room is there for this kind of stuff, however good or bad it might be? These guys are on the heavier side of their scene and they're creating quite a buzz in their home town of Leeds. They certainly put the miles on the clock when it comes to gigging. With elements of The Cure and The Smiths, but without any of the catchiness or humour, this seems unlikely to be the breakthrough single they're after. It's a shame, as they have plenty of dancefloor fillers under their belt.
