The Carling Weekend

Friday August 25th To Sunday August 27th

The Carling weekend does exactly what it says on the tin. One bank holiday in August where music and larger flow to your hearts content. This festival has always held a special place this the hearts of music lovers. With Glastonbury not being held this year, surely, Leeds & Reading is the best festival place to get your dose of yearly dose of sun, music, camping & drink.

For anyone who isn't familiar with the set up for the Carling Weekend, it consists of 6 stages. The Main Stage, Radio One/NME stage, The Lock-up, Dance Stage, Carling Stage & the Comedy Stage. Obviously, the largest area is given to the main stage but as far as the acts performing go, it's very talent is equally spread over each stage.

This year sees a very special moment at the twin sites as Pearl Jam return to the UK after a six year absence to play Their First Ever Uk Festival Shows. Pearl Jam take their rightful place amongst the names that have headlined the Main Stage. Muse return to the festival as headliners of the Main Stage & perform their only uk festival appearances. Franz Ferdiniand also play their only english festival shows to further confirm their position as one of the UK's best loved and most popular acts. Joining our Main Stage headliners are Artic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Placebo & The Streets.
