The Bravery
Fearless
New Single: May 23rd 2005

Fearless is the new single from The Bravery, released via Loog on May 23rd 2005. Ruffling feathers and displaying the swagger of a champion prize fighter, Fearless epitomises The Bravery’s raison d’etre: the New York 5-piece are unafraid of the challenge of becoming the world’s favourite new band, and are always prepared to rise to the occasion, whatever the pressure.

Fearless follows The Bravery twice breaking into the top 10 at the first attempt: first with their debut single An Honest Mistake, which charted at 7 in February, followed by debut album The Bravery which crashed into the album chart at 5 in March, and has since taken root in the Top 20. The Bravery preceded the album’s launch with a sold-out UK tour in February, which was of course as boozy, debauched and riotous as you’d expect. More antics are in store for May, with The Bravery embarking on an even bigger tour of these isles beginning in Leeds on the day of Fearless’ release.

Fearless employs to full effect the myriad tools within The Bravery’s armoury, all edgy electro-garage and multi-textured pop hooks. Not only are they Fearless, this is The Bravery at their most fearsome – another assault on the singles chart is assured. As Sam Endicott himself declares in the song’s impossible-to-forget chorus: “I know that’s why you love me, chica!” Look out for some very Brave shenanigans from the band in the accompanying promo video for the track, too.

Fearless will be available on CD and 7" featuring the title track plus, on the CD, a brace of cover versions close Bravery followers will likely have seen live - INXS' "Don’t Change" and U2 classic "An Cat Dubh". 7" flip is TBC.

The Bravery headline tour dates run as below. The group have just confirmed a tour for November in addition to their sold-out May dates, and they will drop in for summer festival action that includes slots at the O2 Wireless Festival (with New Order, June 24th), Glastonbury, T In The Park, Homelands and V Festival.
