progressive funk and r’n’b. However ‘All About The Funk’ still has it’s place. The Brand New Heavies create funk music that is commercial and not too progressive however it provides a nice introduction into this sound that could appeal to a lot of people. Nicole Ausso does a good job and sounds sassy and sexy. They have modernised their sound slightly to fit in with the times and there are some punchy heavy guitar riffs to keep alive that Funkadelic and Ohio Players sound.

If you were a fan of The Brand New Heavies in the past you shouldn’t be disappointed with this album. They have still kept their charm and have made a pleasant and easy to digest album. Respect for keeping the funk alive.
