The first offering from Leeds´ own introspective indie-hop crossover outfit since their recent signing to Berlins uber cool !K7 label. Laying its foundations firmly between Radiohead and DJ Shadow what begins as a bleepy jazz organ loop construction, soon builds into a stunningly orchestrated cinematic tale of urban isolation, pounding fuzzy fatback drums and bass add a metal and concrete rythym whilst Chris James´ distorted vocals slice delicately through the lush layers of strings and frantic scratches from resident turntablist, KidKanevil.

At times the overall sound may be a little too “nineties” for the indie kids and the strings and harmonies a little too saccharin for the serious “headz” but fans of James Lavelle/Shadow´s U.N.K.L.E project should definately seek this one out.
