The UK's ground breaking urban music act So Solid Crew are to have their story told in a documentary to be screened on Channel 4 on Tuesday 8th October.
Entitled "This Is So Solid", the 1 hour programme follows the crew's rise to fame - and subsequent notoriety - from the Winstanley Estate in Battersea to their current status as pop stars. Directed by David Upshal, award winning director of "The Hip-Hop Years", it allows the key members of the crew, including Megaman, G-Man, Lisa Maffia, Asher D and Romeo to tell their tale from their perspective.
The Crew are also given the chance to discuss the negative media that surrounds them and which led to the banning of their uk tour and the subsequent jailing of Asher D on gun charges.
An exclusive uncut version of the documentary will also feature on a DVD to be released in November which also includes live footage from a recent secret gig as well as all their videos.
The So Solid Crew are the most talked about and controversial musicians of the 21st century. Platinum-selling and multi-award winning, theyve been described as the most innovative thing to happen to the music business for 20 years.
