So Solid Crew - The Full Story

So Solid Crew:
The Full Story..

UK tour finally cancelled:

Following days of speculation, the So Solid Crew UK tour has been controversially cancelled against the groups’ wishes.
There was understandable concern after the recent shooting incident at London’s Astoria club.
However, So Solid Crew were confident that they had implemented the necessary security measures to ensure that there would be no health or safety concerns for their fans.
Despite this, worried promoters and nervous authorities have pulled the plug on the bands eleven-date tour.

So Solid Crew and Oxide & Neutrino have successfully appeared at many events throughout the UK without any incidents at all, making this ruling even more bizarre and unfair.
The artists feel that there has been a massive over reaction from the various authorities because they hail from the underground Garage scene and not the usual route of pop or rock bands.
They do not condone or encourage violence in any way, and have made this clear in their condemnation of the recent incident at the Astoria.
So Solid Crew already have two top three singles under their belt including the massive number one single 21 Seconds.
Their debut album has been in the top ten for the last three weeks, and they won two MOBO awards in what has been a very short space of time.
Angry fans have been voicing their disapproval for the 'blanket-ban' via the So Solid text messaging service on their official website www.sosolid.com
The messages go directly to the site where they appear on-screen in a matter of minutes. The message must begin with the letters SSC but other than that the text is sent in the usual manner.
The telephone number to send them to is 07762601542. Fans can also listen to all the tracks from the group’s recently released album They Don’t Know at the site.
So Solid Crew and Oxide & Neutrino’s management and record labels are looking for alternative venues for the shows in the New Year.
This is the first time since the Sex Pistols exploded into the nations consciousness that a group has been banned from performing live in the UK.

Other punk groups such as the Stranglers and Clash were also banned, and the parallels with So Solid Crew and Oxide & Neutrino and the explosive garage scene are self-evident.
