Here we go again… it’s another singer songwriter who wears his heart on his sleeve and writes songs about lost love and and… you‘ve heard it a million times recently, the charts are full of it, so what is different this time? Well for starters Robert Post is from Norway! If

that isn’t enough to make him stand out from the crowd then just one listen to his debut single ‘Got None’ and immediately you are hooked. Unlike some of his contemporaries Robert Post infuses his music with a wit and charm that is the perfect antidote to all those tortured miserablists. Couple this with an amazing story involving cabs, yeti’s, killer whales, teenage gangs, disappearing band members, Pink Floyd (the list goes on) that took him from a tiny village in Norway to the mean streets of London and Robert Post is set to be one of the biggest success story’s of 2005.

The soon to be legendary story about being discovered by an English A&R man whilst driving his cab in Norway is just the start of an incredible journey that has resulted in Robert Post releasing ‘Got None’ on Mercury Records on the 15 th August. The single is taken from his eponymously titled debut album which is released on the 22 nd August and it is jammed full a songs bearing all the hallmarks of a classic songwriter who loves everything from The Beatles to Kiss. Robert has recently toured the UK, Ireland and France with Aimee Mann (who was so impressed she personally booked him for her second night in London) and he now starts a residency at The Enterprise in Chalk Farm. His live performances highlight his stunning voice and the strength of the songs in his arsenal, whether performed acoustically or electric and either solo or with his trusty band.

‘Got None’ was a recent Record of the Week at Radio 2 and so impressed that it then went straight onto their A-List, stations up and down the country are adding the record the latest being Capital London. Highlighting the songs broad appeal the stunning video, which places Robert in a fantastical animated world, has already been playlisted by The Box, TMF, The Hits and The Amp. ‘Got None’ is widely tipped to be one of the songs of the year and his album proves it is the start of something very big.

Live Dates: The Enterprise, Chalk Farm – 20 th Jul / 28 th Jul / 3 rd Aug / 10 th Aug
