8. Ruisort "panema 5-0" (12" - Certificate 18)
Mexico may not be a popular hunting ground for musical talent, but Certificate 18 certainly struck gold when they discovered their new signing Ruisort. A Mexican composer and musician who later on in life, discovered and fell in love with the music of the Orb, Kraftwerk, Kruder and Dorfmeister, he soon took his previously learned craft of samba and fused it with modern experimentalism. "panema 5-0" is one of the impressive results. An blinding bossa hip shaker of immense party proportions, it should see many scrambling for his up and coming album "Acapulco Now" due out in March. Superb.
