Review of Hard to Explain / NYC Cops / Take It Or Leave It Single by The Strokes

The Strokes: a band who deserve fame simply because of their name, fresh faces from the Big Apple and soon to be the most talked about new band of the moment. They are destined for big things this double a-side (The Strokes Hard To Explain/New York City Cops) could well be the linchpin that kick-starts their rise to fame.

The Strokes Hard to Explain / NYC Cops / Take It Or Leave It Single

As well as having enough youthful good looks  between them to charm the pants off every single darling indie girl in the UK, this five piece have a lot to offer. A knack for writing raw, thrashy, catchy tunes with all the attitude of Blondie thrown together with The Fall with The Velvets, plus a singer whose voice oozes character and delectability. The success of their August debut Is This It seems a forgone conclusion.
