The Presidents emerged from the vibrant Seattle scene in 1994, fusing instantly gratifying hooks, playful lyrics, and innovative instrumentation. Ballew played a two-string "basitar," while Dave Dederer accompanied on a three-string "guitbass." With drummer Jason Finn, they created songs spontaneously onstage during their expansive live shows. In style and substance, they stood out from the more introspective "grunge rock" of their contemporaries. Their eponymous debut album sold over four million copies worldwide, on the strength of top ten singles "Kitty," "Lump," and "Peaches." They have since released three albums. They reunited last year after time off to pursue individual projects.The new album was recorded in Seattle with studio veteran Conrad Uno -- who also shared production duties on the band’s multi-platinum debut -- and long-time associate Martin Feveyear.

Fans will get their first chance to hear multiple songs from Love Everybody through Apple’s iTunes Music Store starting June 22. "Some Postman" and "Shortwave" will be available for download, along with the bonus exclusive track "Jilted On The Tarmac," for 99 cents per track or $2.97 for the entire Some Postman EP.

The album will be released on the band’s own PUSA Music label through NAIL/Allegro Distribution. In related news, PUSA Music will also re-release The Presidents of The United States of America on Election Day 2004. The 10th Anniversary Edition version will be digitally re-mastered by Vlado Meller (Weezer, Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers), who also mastered Love Everybody.
