O2 Wireless Festival

21st June and 23rd June

Two of the most innovative and influential bands of our time, The Strokes and Massive Attack, have been added to the London leg of the ever-expanding line up for the O2 Wireless Festival 2006 and will headline on 21st June and 23rd June respectively.

New York rockers The Strokes will make their first ever appearance in London's stunning Hyde Park as they kick off the first of five days of fantastic live music at the O2 Wireless Festival 2006. Joining them on 21st June are The Super Furry Animals and Belle & Sebastian plus other special guests.

Massive Attack will headline the main stage on Friday 23rd June, with additional performances that day from The Flaming Lips, Pharrell and DJ Shadow.

For five full on consecutive days of sensational live music in London, the O2 Wireless Festival is the only place to be this summer. With headline performances from The Strokes, David Gray, Massive Attack, James Blunt and Depeche Mode plus acoustic performance space, chill out areas, side shows, markets, world food caterers and street theatre, the O2 Wireless Festival 2006 offers the very best of the festival experience, all within a stones throw of home.

Due to the huge success of the O2 Wireless Festival launch in London last year, it will now also take place in Leeds, bringing the event to not one, but two major cities this summer. Massive Attack and legendary rockers The Who will headline the 2-day music fest in the picturesque surroundings of Harewood House, Leeds.

Both Hyde Park and the spectacular grounds of Harewood House in Leeds will be completely transformed during the O2 Wireless Festival 2006. Multi-stages will be erected to showcase the most technically innovative and musically exciting performances from the world's biggest and best contemporary rock, pop and dance acts - the atmosphere is sure to be electric.
