Norman Jay MBE’s legendary Good Times soundsystem returns August 28 th and 29 th, celebrating 25 years at the Notting Hill Carnival, their Silver Jubilee year. Alongside brother and original partner Joey Jay, Good Times’ quintessential selection provides London’s most famous street party with its annual soulful soundtrack ultimately becoming synonymous with the event itself.

Receiving the first ever MBE award for services to music and Djing, Norman Jay’s trademark style and diversity have become world famous. Non-stop musical nuggets create a unique atmosphere in the GoodTimes inimitable style that is extensively highlighted in Carnival coverage. Norman is also a consistently positive spokesman for the event, with the climax of his Monday set broadcast live every year on BBC London, 94.9; this year’s honours being shared with BBC Radio 1 Xtra. The renownedBBC London Giant 45 show weekly on Sundays from 6-8pm continues to spread the word and the fifth Good Times compilation CD, Good Times5 Jubilee Edition is once again released on Resist, formerly React Music.
