A.M. Lights

Single Review

Starting off with a kiddy keyboard melody, the likes of which was last heard on Sonic the Hedgehog for the Master System, "A.M Lights" builds into a decent slow-burning piece of electro-pop. Jacob Fletcher's Wayne Coyne-esque vocals complement its innocent charm, but choppy drum loops and interweaving minimalist melodies add dark extra layers, making for an interesting, if not immediate listen.

B-side "My Feet Are Busting Out Of My Shoes" does very much the same job, but does away with vocals and turns the twitchy electronica of the first track up a few notches, with more funky flourishes.
