Muse release a brand-new
single entitled ‘Time Is Running Out’ on 8th
September 2003.
Whilst retaining everything that hundreds of thousands of
Muse fans have come to love, the insanely catchy ‘Time
Is Running Out’ marks a departure of sorts, encapsulating
an increasing sense of eclecticism within the band’s
ranks. Available as a CD, DVD and clear vinyl 7”, ‘Time
Is Running Out’ still defiantly rocks, as does Muse’s
third studio album ‘Absolution’, which is released
two weeks later on September 22nd. ‘Absolution’ was
recorded in London, Devon, Ireland and Los Angeles, and produced
by the band and Rich Costey (Rage Against The Machine, The
Mars Volta, Philip Glass). ‘Time Is Running Out’ and ‘Absolution’ are
both released on Taste/East West.
Muse released a download-only single on 14th July entitled ‘Stockholm
Syndrome’. “The heaviest thing they’ve
done yet” (NME), it was an enormous success, far outstripping
most other releases of this nature, reaching Muse fans from
the UK to Reunion, and was described by NME as “The
most brilliantly grandiose rock single of the year.” The
media has similarly embraced early hearings of ‘Absolution’,
which, amongst a glut of new musical styles embraced by Muse,
includes ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ and ‘Time
Is Running Out’.
Muse will tour the Europe and the UK in October, November
and December. This mammoth tour arrives in Glasgow on 25th
November, and includes shows at Wembley Arena and the Manchester
MEN Arena. The tour was announced two weeks ago and dates
are fast selling out . Details follow:
