It seems every up and coming indie act has been labelled with the new Bob Dylan tag at one time or another and Lucky Jim are no exception having been compared, amongst others, to Dylan, country music legend Gram Parsons and Beach Boy Brian Wilson.

You Stole My Heart Away fails to live up to these expectations but with its engaging melody, Keanesque piano and skiffling drums

throughout, the elegantly-orchestrated track from the Brighton based duo shows promise

Lucky Jim are the latest signing to Skint records, the label behind such acts as FC/Kahuna and Fatboy Slim. If it was a gamble for Skint to branch out into the indie scene then all the signs surrounding “You Stole My heart Away” point to it being a profitable one. The single is released 19th April and precedes the album Our Troubles End Tonight which will be released in May.
