2005 hasn't been a bad year for KT Tunstall, the St Andrews singer-songwriter's record "Eye To The Telescope" has gone double platinum and also landed her a Mercury Prize nomination. Following on from the radio-hogging "Suddenly I See", "Under The Weather" is the forth single to be taken from the album.

There's no doubting that Tunstall has a heart-warming voice, but this track isn't the best at showcasing it. It's a sweet acoustic song that strums along pleasantly enough, but it just doesn't seem to get into top gear. Towards the finale "Under The Weather" attempts to pick up the momentum, but stumbles short. It lacks it's predecessor's catchiness, or the confidence of "Black Horse And The Cherry Tree", and isn't in the same league as the stunning "Other Side Of The World." Mediocre by Tunstall's very high standards.
