Being from a rock background myself I have been recommended these guys for years, however whenever I went out on a limb and listened to their stuff it came across (to me anyway) a tad to cliché U-S-A, if you know what I mean. On closer listen to this promo album you can tell that these people know what they are doing, but I still don't really get it. Nothing has changed really; it does pull me in on a certain level however not in the realm of buying the stuff. This would appeal to the more mature and rooted emo people (Far, Sunny Day Real Estate) not the new age side parting black bowl headed gimps (son of dork, and just about every kid wearing black jeans). 6/10
