You take a teenage busker influenced by the classic singer-songwriter tradition and a former heavy metal guitarist who has grown bored with speed-rock and is looking for something a little more soulful. You put them together to write some songs. Along the way they fall in love and make a beguiling album of country-tinged melodic rock that takes them to the top of the Danish charts.

Michael Hartmann and Dorthe Gerlach (aka Hush) are now set to release their debut album "A LIFETIME", is a wonderfully melodic record of radio-friendly tunes, the jangling guitars supported by mandolins and banjos, atmospherically augmented by mellotron and strings and gloriously sun by Dorthe in a voice that is reminiscent of a young Stevie Nicks. Debut single "IF I WAS" will follow two weeks later on 3rd October.

A no1 single in their native Denmark, "IF I WAS" has a dark theme although it's also about escapism. "It's partly about incest and it's definitely not autobiographical!", Michael stresses. "It started out describing a mood. The girl in the song is in a situation she can't get away from, so she dreams herself out of her everyday life."
