Fischerspooner
'Just Let Go'
28th March 2005

The groundbreaking New York art-pop duo Fischerspooner return with a glorious new single 'Just Let Go' released through EMI Records on March 28th.

'Just Let Go' is a fantastic dancefloor get-down body mover; all rocking guitars and electronics in harmony against a hypnotic percussive groove. The song is the first single to be lifted from their new long player 'Odyssey'. There's also a 12" remix to accompany its release, featuring a Thin White Duke (aka Jacques Lu Cont) mix that's got 2 Many DJ's, Pete Tong and Deep Dish currently pushing it up to number one on the Buzz Chart.

Fischerspooner's new album 'Odyssey' is released by EMI Records on April 11th. It features 12 new songs and contributions from Mirwais, Linda Perry and Susan Sontag.

ANNOUNCE MANUMISSION RESIDENCY
FOR IBIZA SUMMER 2005

Fischerspooner are pleased to announce a residency at Manumission, Ibiza for the Summer 2005 season. The NYC based art/pop group will take the stage as part of the world famous Manumission live show every Monday from July 4th to September 19th at Privelege, San Rafael, Ibiza.

Fischerspooner’s own shows have been the subject of acclaim and controversy since they started performing in NYC clubs and galleries in 1999. Packed to bursting with dancers, stage effects, elaborate wardrobe changes and lip synch the shows they performed in conjunction with their debut album, ‘#1’ became legendary for their irreverent take on an ‘outsider’ pop show spectacular.

For the shows in support of their new album ‘Odyssey’, Fischerspooner will incorporate live music for the first time and a new production design to be premiered in Ibiza and over summer festivals to be announced.

Manumission began life in 1994 in Manchester, England with an idea to revolutionize the club scene and within 12 weeks had been voted best club in the UK. They took their philosophy to the Ku club in Ibiza (now Privilege and officially the world's biggest club), originally just a small event in one of Ku’s bar areas, it quickly expanded to take in the entire 10,000 capacity, hanger-like space every Monday night.  And now Manumission – whose name translates from the Latin as ‘freedom from slavery’ – enjoys a reputation as one of the most liberal and hedonistic events in the world - a multimedia extravaganza cross pollinating the worlds of film, theatre, performance art, and music in a night club environment.

Manumission also lead the charge on the cutting edge of the mainstream club scene in Ibiza. Actively pursuing the new wave of DJs and live dance music, they have hosted DJ sets and live performances from The Rapture, LCD Soundsystem, Electric Six and 2 Many DJs over the last two summers.

Fischerspooner launch their new album ‘Odyssey’ on April 11 th through EMI Records. The first single ‘Just Let Go’ is released on March 28 th.
