Fatboy Slim
That Old Pair Of Jeans
Video
Â
It's 10 years since the first Fatboy Slim record. A decade since 'Santa Cruz' kick started the acclaimed Skint record label....
Â
In that time Fatboy Slim has successfully helped take dance music from the clubs, into the living room and to the top of the charts - earning him a unique place in the nation's heart along the way. On the 19th June Fatboy Slim releases 'The Greatest Hits - Why Try Harder'. A celebration of the last decade, it brings together all the huge records and joyously idiosynchratic pop songs, spanning four albums and 10 years, that have helped make Fatboy Slim the biggest dance artist and DJ on the planet.
Â
To get the ball rolling, 'That Old Pair Of Jeans' is one of the two new Fatboy tracks included on the album and is released as a single on the 26th June. It is a slice of life-affirming pop sprinkled with that unique Fatboy magic. Featuring Lateef on vocals and sporting a proper hands-in-the-air chorus, this is Fatboy Slim at his best.
Â
Joining the title track and spread across the formats, we have a plethora of remixes for your lucky ears. Mike D and Adrock from the Beastie Boys tackle 'Praise You' (oh yes!), Plump DJ's mix 'Everybody Needs A 303' up a storm, while Redanka and Freemasons remix the timeless 'Right Here Right Now'. What a package!
Â
The video is another classic in the making. John Watts returns, after videos for The Joker and Wonderful Night, with a promo that interprets Fatboy Slim's music through the medium of juggling.
