The final single to be lifted from their debut album before they head back to the studio, CSS release firm live favourite ‘Alcohol’ on October 8th.

The musical zeitgeist of 2007 has undoubtedly been the indie-dance crossover - the indie kids are dancing again, and the dance kids are moshing. Much of what has been stamped with the mark of success / acquiring hipster status amongst music fans of any and every persuasion, has been touched by the golden hand of James Ford. Or has some kind of Klaxons/ New Young Pony Club / SMD / Justice / Hot Chip-esque edge to it. Or in fact IS Klaxons, New Young Pony Club, SMD, Justice or Hot Chip. Or of course, our very own CSS, for whom 2007 has been a year of relentless progress, praise and success.

The Brazilian six piece have over the 13 months since their first release, steadily carved out and secured their place at the vanguard of this reassuringly broad movement, alongside a small handful of worthy bands who’ve been similarly branded with the ‘nu-rave’ tag. Embraced by the UK and Europe as one of their own, time and again CSS have proved their mettle as one of the most exciting, humourous, and original bands to have emerged from recent years to assault our senses, onstage and off.
