Techy electro pop act Busface release their first EP from their debut album ‘Devils, Sharks and Spaceships.’ For me, the pop influence of this track lets it down. It carries too many irritating cheesy synthesiser sounds, which is neither deep nor ballsy. I’m sure many on the continent would beg to differ. soulful. This is light, plinky and lyrically soft. ‘U R The Future’ is fairly bouncy and has some energy. I quite like the journey of this track despite it being quite camp. ‘Boom Boom Baby’ has bleeping effects, old school 80’s samples and keyboard sounds with a few breaks. It’s light and airy. I quite like the Breathless Mix of ‘Oxygen.’ It’s much deeper and engrossing than other tracks on the EP but is more for the chill out room than the dancefloor. Maybe if they called this track ‘Love is like Hydrogen’ is would have more gusto.
