Album Review
'The Remix Game' is an album of remixes from Bittersweet's album 'The Mating Game'. It certainly has an element of chill and cool vibe. The tracks are funky, soulful and have a progressive funk edge. I particularly liked 'Bittersweet Faith' Thievery Corporation remix that has great mood and good vocals by Shani Hallagan. She has a good voice that has a jazzy vibe similar to Corrine Bailey Rae. The remixes create a kind of hip Ibiza edge to it but still remaining loyal to progressive black soul music, in fact it does remind me of Benobo. It's pretty sassy, quite interesting and positive. It doesn't blow me away as there's nothing too overwhelming for me on this album however I like it. 'Dirty Laundry' is a good track and captures very much what Bittersweet are about. Hip and cool.
