Badly Drawn Boy,
aka Damon Gough, releases his new single next week on April
21st. All Possibilities (released by Twisted Nerve,
through XL Recordings) is the third single to be taken from
his top ten album, Have You Fed The Fish? the
follow up to 2000s Mercury Music Prize winning release
The Hour Of Bewilderbeast.
All Possibilities comes out
on two formats (cd and 7 vinyl) with both featuring
exclusive tracks.
The cd will feature Where Were You
and Let The Sunshine recorded live from Maida
Vale Studios for BBC Radio 1s Lamaq live.
The 7 is backed with live favourite,
Walk Away Renee (a cover of the Lefte Bank classic)
which is a rough and ready audience bootleg from his US tour
in 2000.
The release of Have You Fed The Fish?
came hot on the heels of the critically acclaimed About
A Boy soundtrack and the hit singles, You Were
Right and Born Again. Have You Fed
The Fish has been described by Uncut Magazine as a
modern classic and by Arena as the album of the
year.
Badly Drawn Boy recently caused a stir in
central London whilst filming the video for All Possibilities.
Two secret cameras filmed Gough busking the single to a mixture
of bemused and indifferent commuters outside Waterloo Station.
As was widely reported in the next
days newspapers, in the first hour and a half of performing
BDB made the grand sum of £1.60, enough to make Gough
comment Its well below the average wage isnt
it? Id be better off working at Mc Donalds
