Shot You Down

"Bang bang, you shot me down, bang bang, I hit the ground

Bang bang, that awful sound, bang bang, my baby shot me down..."

Tom Franks and Simon Dinsdale have been keeping a relatively low profile for the last 12 months. Since the triumphantly brassy debut 'Ego War' was unleashed on an unsuspecting public in summer 2003 spawning numerous acclaimed singles and some dependably rowdy live shows, the duo have gone back to their bunker and done what they do best - created a trademark neck-wreckingly heavy and downright rude piece of house music, 'Shot You Down'.

Audio Bullys have taken Nancy Sinatra's original from the Kill Bill soundtrack and used its fearsome atmosphere, to play host to one of their most unashamedly dancefloor friendly cuts to date. Laden with wobbly basslines and dropping down to the barest of vocals it has tension, it has outright abandon, and it is undoubtedly one of the finest-crafted bootlegs to have emerged in the past few years. Did we mention it has been approved by none other than the daughter of Frank Sinatra?

Audio Bully's will release their second longplayer in the summer with full details to be announced shortly, as well as information on some very special secret gigs.
