Shaznay Lewis is set to make her eagerly anticipated return on July 5th with the release of her debut solo single ‘Never Felt Like This Before’ on London Records. Her first solo album, as yet untitled, will follow on July 19th.

‘Never Felt Like This Before’ is a shimmering and infectious single, with Shaznay’s glorious, soulful vocals sounding better than ever before. Its uplifting mood will make it the perfect feel-good, summertime hit.

Other highlights of the album include the Basement Jaxx collaboration ‘Mr. Dawg’ and the track ‘Dance’ which features a guest appearance from old school rapper Biz Markie. Shaznay has co-written every song on the album with collaborators including K-Gee of All Saints fame as well as Bacon and Quarmby (Sugababes, Finlay Quaye). Two songs, entitled ‘You’ and ‘Crying’, also feature production input from Trevor Jackson (Output Recordings/Playgroup).

With a combination of her phenomenal vocal ability, strong writing skills and some of the most talented producers around, Shaznay has produced a work of classic soul and mesmerising contemporary songwriting.

Shaznay plans to bring the album to the live arena and is currently in rehearsals with her band.
