Rock wildman Ozzy Osbourne has no recollection of the events leading up to his near-fatal quad bike crash last month (DEC03), despite making a partial recovery.
The former Black Sabbath frontman was left fighting for his life after the accident in the grounds of his Buckinghamshire, south England mansion.
Ozzy says, "I must have suffered heavy-duty concussion - I don't remember getting on the bike. I don't remember having a crash. I don't remember who I was with. Nothing at all."
On waking up in hospital, Osbourne says, "It felt like months or years. I was so confused you could have told me I was lying upside down in a kilt and I'd have believed you.
"I discharged myself from intensive care because I couldn't stand it any more. I got sick of having nurses, doctors, students and sick people around me all the time. I tried to make everyone laugh - except the ones who died on me!
"But seriously, I wasn't sleeping well. I'd been in a coma, woken up and couldn't stand the pain and noise.
"The doctors and nurses did a really great job repairing me but I just wanted to get home to my family for Christmas."07/01/2004 21:39
