Ozzy Osbourne is dusting off his record collection for a new album of covers.

The heavy rocker-turned-reality TV star has recorded 10 cover tunes for an upcoming box set career retrospective, which will be released next year (FEB05).

The covers disc, which will be one of four in the new set, will feature reworkings of tunes like MOUNTAIN's MISSISSIPPI QUEEN, ALL THE YOUNG DUDES by Mott The Hoople and THE ROLLING STONES' SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL.

And, in another treat for fans, Ozzy won't be belting out the covers alone - former Alice In Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell joins him on some tunes and the album also features ROBERT RANDOLPH's cover of Black Sabbath's CHANGES, which was a hit for Ozzy and his daughter Kelly Osbourne last Christmas (03).

Meanwhile, Osbourne also collaborates with DMX, Wu-Tang Clan, CRYSTAL METHOD and Primus on classic tracks elsewhere in the box set.
