Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne were honoured for their contribution to the music industry at the annual Silver Clef Lunch in London today (16JUN06). BLACK SABBATH star Ozzy and his manager wife Sharon attended the star-studded Park Lane Hotel ceremony. The event is held in aid of Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, a group which provides music therapy to adults and children throughout the UK. A host of other big named stars were also recognised for their efforts. Kaiser Chiefs were named Best British Band while Foo Fighters received the Best International Group award. Editors were named Best New Artist. Welsh opera star Bryn Terfel won the Classical Award and Girls Aloud took home the Best Song trophy for SEE THE DAY. US legends The Eagles were honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The lunch also included a charity auction which featured prizes including a signed PINK FLOYD Fender Stratocaster and a VIP trip to the Grammys in Los Angeles later this year (06). Last year's (05) auction raised more than GBP700,000 ($1.26 million) for the charity.
