Rocker Ozzy Osbourne has rubbished rumours his former band Black Sabbath are reuniting for a new album.

Recent reports claimed the group would record their first studio offering since 1978's NEVER SAY DIE - buy Ozzy isn't interested in just cashing in on the band's famous name.

The 56-year-old says, "I could go in the studio and write a bunch of stuff, but why do an album just for the sake of (drummer) BILL (WARD), (guitarist) TONY (IOMMI), me and bassist (GEEZER) BUTLER together playing if it's not up to the Black Sabbath standard that I left?

"It would f**k it up, you know? It's so sad when you hear these monumental bands do these piece of s**t records just because they want the money."

Ozzy will be releasing a new album of solo material next year (06).
