Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn have become the new kings of the US box office, after Wedding Crashers hauled a staggering $20.5 million (GBP11.3 million).

Johnny Depp's hit Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, which was the top movie the previous two weekends, slipped to second place with $16.4 million (GBP9.1 million).

The two movies held off newcomers SKY HIGH, which debuted in third place with $14.6 million (GBP8.1 million), and STEALTH, which opened with a disappointing $13.5 million (GBP7.5 million), placing it fourth.

Diane Lane and John Cusack's romantic comedy MUST LOVE DOGS came in fifth with $13 million (GBP7.2 million).
