The 80-year-old comedian tweeted about her excitement to be living beside the actor and was photographed leaving her apartment on Tuesday (29.10.13) holding a white sign that read: ''Welcome Orlando to the hood!''
But she later revealed she was forced to give the cake away and tweeted: ''Orlando wasn't home so I gave the cake to the paparazzi. Best line I heard: 'If you can't trust a cake from Joan Rivers, who can you trust?' ''
The 36-year-old actor, who is starring in the new Broadway production of 'Romeo & Juliet,' was clearly impressed with Joan's kind gesture as according to UsMagazine.com he responded with his own sign on Friday (01.11.13), that read: ''Thanks for the warm welcome Joan, darling. Come see me on Broadway!''
