One Direction are some of a handful of stars set to feature in their own comic book biographies called 'Fame'.
BlueWater Productions have drawn out their success story so far of Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik in the new comic entitled 'Fame: One Direction'. According to the BlueWater website, the book 'starts at the beginning, with the band's performance on the popular reality TV show X-Factor' and in sneak previews we see separate introductions for each of the band members before an image of them literally 'turning back the hands of time'. The 'Fame' collection also includes comics and graphic novels about Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber and Cody Simpson and will apparently be available in digital form as well as in print.
The comic comes only months after 1D were animated in a cartoon clip entitled 'The Adventurous Adventures of One Direction' where they portrayed superheroes that bore striking similarities to the Power Rangers. It featured Simon Cowell as an overruling lord while the boys set out to defeat the villainous Lord Faptaguise. It also has Harry, 18, attempting to impress an older female; a cheeky reference to his 14 year senior ex-girlfriend Caroline Flack, 32, and a string of other mature ladies he's been linked to. Despite its tongue-in-cheek appeal that could make it a popular cartoon, it will remain as a one-off piece of fan fiction by 'Archer' cartoonist Mark Parsons.
