It was more of the same for One Direction at V Festival this weekend, as they were forced into hiding after being mobbed by female fans backstage at the event.
The boys, Niall Horan, Zayn Malick, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, had begun the day mingling in the Vip Lounge at the Essex and Staffordshire-based festival but were forced to flee the scene when they were mobbed by a host of female fans. The boys then snuck off to their own communal tent to escape the marauder of girls, with only Payne sticking around the site as he and his girlfriend, Danielle Peazer, walked around in the open. The boy-band member was then stopped by press to check on where the rest of the boys were, to which he frankly replied, "Yeah, we were mobbed a bit by the girls. The rest have gone off."
The boys are currently performing at a handful of venues and festivals this summer, whilst in the meantime they are working on their second album. News that a follow-up to last year's Up All Night first broke in May this year, when it emerged that they were recording their second studio album in a studio in Stockholm, Sweden.
