One Direction have finished work on their new album.
The 'Little Things' hitmakers have been busy working on the follow-up to their second record, 2012's 'Take Me Home', and frequent collaborator Ed Sheeran claims the album is already complete.
The 'Lego House' hitmaker made the admission as he discussed his own new record, admitting he has been too busy to write for anyone else while he focuses on his own music.
He told MTV News: ''I haven't done any songs on this one; I've actually kind of cut myself from giving any people songs at the moment, because I want to make my album.
''I was approached, and it wasn't so much a 'No,' it was just a 'I want to write tunes for myself at the moment.'
''Once my album's done, then we'll see. But their album is already finished.''
However, a spokesperson for the band's record label Columbia insisted ''the guys are still very much working on their new album.''
The representative also dismissed speculation that Ed could have been referring to the soundtrack to the quintet's forthcoming 'This Is Us' documentary movie, insisting ''there won't be one released with the film.''
